Starting from 16 April 2020, еntrepreneurs can apply for labor market subsidy for the period 16 March to 30 June 2020 using Kela's e-service. The online application for unemployment benefit has been modified so that it is possible to fill it easily and quickly.
Applications for the temporary labor market subsidy to self-employed persons are made with a specific online application form. The aid is intended for entrepreneurs whose business has been adversely affected by the coronavirus epidemic.
In the application, the entrepreneurs have to give their own estimate of the monthly business income for the period for which they are applying. Any other income is reconciled with the unemployment benefits, i.e. it can reduce the amount of labor market subsidy available.
Work-related expenditures may be deducted from the estimated income. Such expenses may include, for example, tools purchased for the use of the enterprise or products purchased for the sale.
