In cereals prices, the trend in Finland was still sharply upward at the end of the year 2021.

  • The price of fodder barley (feed barley) rose by almost 70 %, oats by 53 % and wheat by 46 % year-on-year. In addition to the poor harvest, the rise in prices was due to a sharp rise in production costs, especially fertilizer and energy prices.
